An important part of the process in the creation of the right atmosphere in a property is your choice of colour. There is a very wide range available to choose from nowadays, and the list is continually growing. We use a number of paint sources but generally recommend using the Dulux range, which has proved itself to be of a very high standard time and time again.

Brief Tips:-

Colours will change with the light

When choosing a colour, bear in mind that it will look slightly darker or stronger than it does on the colour charts. The biggest influence on the final appearance in the chosen colour, particularly on walls and ceilings, will be the amount and type of light in the room. In general, the poorer the lighting, the darker the light with appear.

  Use a colour testers

Use a ‘colour tester’ so that you can assess the effect of a colour in the room. These are widely available from all good stockists.

  Test your colours

The best way to get the best out of the tester is to place a small amount of it on a white card, then hold it up to a range of walls & items of furniture. You can then assess the way it will look in the room

  Check your colour scheme now

If you want to gain a visualisation of what a colour will look like in real life. We can recommend you take a look at the Dulux mouse painter.
